February 17 & 24, 2008
Haiti Bibles - Raise money to purchase Bibles for Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti by collecting donations of $10 per Bible. Personalized labels will be signed by each donor and affixed to each Bible before they are distributed.

Undies Sunday - Collect new underwear and distribute to four local missions.

May 9 & 10, 2008

Haiti Hygiene Kits - Collect hygiene items and assemble kits that will be sent to Haiti.

August 21, 2008
Back to School Back-Packs - Another annual event ! Gathering, collection, assembly and distribution of school supplies for the High Schools in the area.

September 27, October 4, 2008
Food Drive - Distribute empty bags throughout local neighborhoods, collected bags filled with non-perishable food items and distribute to 4 local missions.

October 2008
Crop Walk, Walk-a-thon for Hunger -Nineth year of participation for CIA, including volunteer walkers and manning checkpoints.

November 2008
Christmas in the Country, Volunteer Craft Fair Fund Raiser - The November "Christmas in the Country" craft show is manned by CIA volunteers who donated their hourly wages to benefit the Churches In Action general mission fund.

December 2008
Twefthth Annual Caroling at Group Homes - Volunteer carolers of all ages spread the joy of the holiday season to our brothers and sisters in eight local area community homes for the developmentally disabled. A wonderful opportunity for families to reach out during the holidays.
