Our History - 2007 | March 2007 Undies Sunday - Collect new underwear and distribute to four local missions. April 2007 "Taste of Home" Fundraiser - Fundraiser through providing bags of coupons and giveaways. May 2007 Work Weekend - Operation Good Neighbor - We helped to fix up Operation Good Neighbor, a food kitchen, pantry and clothing outlet that represents Christ to the poor and hungry. June 2007 Haiti - Assembled 660 school kits & hygiene kits. August 2007 Back to School Back-Packs - Another annual event ! Gathering, collection, assembly and distribution of school supplies for the High Schools in the area. September 2007 Food Drive - Collection of food for distribution to local missions. October 2007 Crop Walk, Walk-a-thon for Hunger - Eighth year of participation for CIA, including volunteer walkers and manned checkpoints. November 2007 Volunteer Craft Fair Fund Raiser - The November "Christmas in the Country" craft show was manned by CIA volunteers who donated their hourly wages to benefit the Churches In Action general mission fund. December 2007 Eleventh Annual Caroling at Group Homes - Volunteer carolers of all ages spread the joy of the holiday season to our brothers and sisters in eight local area community homes for the developmentally disabled. A wonderful opportunity for families to reach out during the holidays. |
