Our History - 2005 | March 2005 Undies Sunday - Collect new underwear and distribute to four local missions. May 2005 Work Weekend - St Luke's Mission of Mercy 325 Walden Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215. August 2005 Back to School Back-Packs - Another annual event ! Gathering, collection, assembly and distribution of school supplies for the High Schools in the area. October 2005 Crop Walk, Walk-a-thon for Hunger - Sixth year of participation for CIA, including staffing of a water & apples station along the walk route. November 2005 Volunteer Craft Fair Fund Raiser - The November "Christmas in the Country" craft show was manned by over 30 CIA volunteers who donated their hourly wages to benefit the Churches In Action general mission fund. December 2005 Annual Caroling at Group Homes - Volunteer carolers of all ages spread the joy of the holiday season to our brothers and sisters in eight local area community homes for the developmentally disabled. A wonderful opportunity for families to reach out during the holidays. |
