Our History - 1998 | March 1998 Second Food Drive - Collected 900 bags of food and distributed them to local pantries. June 1998 Work Day Weekend - At local mission "St. Luke's Mission of Mercy." Ninety-five volunteers painted, cleaned, and overhauled the whole mission. September 1998 Crop Walk, Walk-a-thon for Hunger - Aided the local Crop Walk effort in our community through publicity and support networks. November 1998 Hurricane Hugo Clothing Drive - Specifically for the victims of Hurricane Hugo in Biloxi, Mississippi. A truck load of goods were driven down to a shelter there. December 1998 Second Annual Caroling at Group Homes - 100 participants from many local churches spread the joy of the holiday season to our brothers and sisters in local area community homes for the developmentally disabled. |
